Seller’s Guide

Selling a House in Richmond BC

Our step-by-step process helps to guide you through what to expect from the initial meeting to the day of possession.

Initial Meeting

Together, we will look at your property, its history, your needs/wants as a seller, as well as the evaluation of current listings and recent sales in the area.

Listing Documentation

When it is time to move forward, we will sign postdated listing documents so we can get started selling your home. Here, we will confirm a listing price, the listing period, the commission, and other terms. We will order any necessary documentation to assist in a successful sale.

Staging and Preparation

Next, we will provide a full-service staging appointment, arrange professional photos and laser-measured floor plans.

Marketing

Your listing will be posted on PattiMartin.com, MLS.ca, RealtyLink.org, Realtor.ca, REMAX.ca, Facebook, Instagram, WeChat and printed in The Richmond News. We will also call agents in our network and contact our buyer database.

Showings

We will schedule and run showings with minimum disruption to your home life and provide detailed weekly updates along the way.

Offer Presentation

All offers will be reviewed and discussed with you, leveraging our expert negotiation skills to ensure the best price and terms. Upon offer acceptance, we will liaise with related parties, ensuring all requirements are met. If an inspection is required, we will be in attendance to represent you and your home.

Closing

Once the required documentation and deposits are confirmed, we will forward the final sale documents to you and your lawyer/notary and supply conveyance instructions for closing. We will also provide you with a moving checklist and deliver your keys to the buyer for possession.

Congratulations! With the sale of your home complete, you can now begin looking for a new place.
